Lawsuit Defense
The firm has successfully defended a large number of lawsuits filed in State and Federal courts, by former employees, seeking damages from public entity employers for the alleged wrongful termination of his/her employment, or discrimination, and/or harassment (sexual and non-sexual). Claims have been resolved through trial, motions to dismiss, arbitration, mediation and informal settlements.
Union grievances/arbitration defense
The firm also provides representation to public entity employers in defending grievances pursued on behalf of public employee unions, arising out of discipline, terminations, etc, and is familiar with the Government Tort Claims Act and Civil Service.
